Jharsuguda boy shines in GATE, (All India Second Rank)
JHARSUGUDA: Local boy Avinash Kumar Shah brought laurels to the Industrial town by achieving second position in All India Rank in the instrumentation engineering in the prestigious Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE), the results of which were declared on 18th March. Avinash, a final year student of BTech of NIT Jalandhar shared his success with his family members and close friends.
Avinash said that his father could not believe that he has achieved a second rank in GATE in instruments engineering branch.
�I was expecting that I will be in top 10, but never expected to get an All India Second Rank.� said Avinash.
�My friend called me on result night to check the results but due to bad net connection I had to wait for some two to three hours to �know my results. But after I got to know my result I was very excited to know that I have secured a second All India Rank.”
“My father could not believe that I have secured All India Second position,” said Avinash while talking to TOI. Son of Businessman, Ramesh Shah, Avinash had been a meritorious student since his school days. Avinash is an Ex � Students of St. Mary�s Convent School of Jharsuguda.
Avinash said that there is only one mantra for success is hard work and dedication. He said that he applied the same rule in studies which gave him good result. When questioned where he will be taking admission in post-graduate course, Avinash said that. “I will be settling down with a job in Public Sector Unit (PSU) as I have achieved a good rank in GATE,” he said.
