Jharsuguda Lok Mahotsav �Dulduli � inaugurated
Jharsuguda : Jharsuguda Lok Mahotsav �Dulduli 2016� began with lot of grandeur� with thousands of people from across Jharsuguda and outside the district thronged Man Mohan M.E. School to witness the inaugural ceremony of �3 days cultural extravaganza of the district �Jharsuguda Lok Mahotsav �Dulduli 2016� on Friday.
Hundreds of local artistes gathered here to display their skills at the three day cultural extravaganza.
A cultural �Sobha Yatra� was held on Friday afternoon from Jhadeswar Temple to event ground.
�Every year, on the occasion of Jharsuguda district formation day celebration, this Lok Mahotsav is being celebrated on January 1st.� Dulduli word has been derived from the Musical instrument used by the tribal�s in Western Odisha.� The event focuses in promoting the local folk dance and culture of the area. This year around 480 artists will take part on these 3 days cultural programme belong from within district and outside district also. Even this year around 150 stall of Pallishree along with 100 stalls has been put up.�Said Tapas Ray Choudhary, member co-coordinating Committee, Dulduli
The Dulduli Mahotsav, which is being organized for the past 14 years, aim to revive dying local art forms.�Odissi Dance, Panchrasi Dance, Dandha Dance, Karma Dance and Pala were staged on the inaugural day.
The Mahotsav was inaugurated by Bargarh M.P.Dr. Prabhash Singh along with �Jharsuguda Collector Parameswaran B. , Harish Ganatra, Chairman , Jharsuguda Municipality, Nandlal Kishore Agarwal , Chairman, Brajrajnagar Municipality along with many other dignitaries were also present.
�It�s been a great opportunity for me to view the local artist performing on the local dances, which we generally can�t see often. It gives a great platform for the local artist to promote their cultural dance.� Said �Sanat Das, one visitor.
