13th Jharsuguda Lok Mahotsav “DulDuli” to kick off on Jan 1st
Jharsuguda: The district level Jharsuguda Lok Mahotsav “DulDuli” is scheduled to begin from Jan 1st at Man Mohan M.E. School here. All necessary preparation for this four days cultural fest celebration is in full pace which is to be completed before the event.
In a press conference held on Tuesday Morning, Jharsuguda Collector Parameswaran B said that, around 34 cultural teams including 8 teams from the five blocks i.e. Jharsuguda, Kolabira, Lakhanpur and Laikera except Kirmira Block and nine teams from three Municipality Jharsuguda, Brajrajnagar and Belpahar Municipality. Around 512 cultural artists will take part in this four days event.
During these four days celebration various stalls are also being put up in which 99 stalls are from ORMAS (Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society) , around 30 stalls by the GM, DIC and 25 stalls from other line industries like Horticulture , Agriculture, Soil Conservasion etc. For the first time around 25 stalls are being put up for Book Stalls which would extend till 5th January 2015.
Seeing the severe cold wave, all the programs will be start half an hour before the schedule so that the program ends earlier later in the night.
“This time the entire participants will be within the district and within Odisha state, so that local participation is more and people are aware about culture of our own state.250 people including artisan and others will take part in the first day Shobha Yatra. Around 515 participants are expected in day time activities like Quiz , Dance , Song etc. We have made adequate arrangements for the artists coming from the district and outside the districts. Three dharamsala has been identified for the stay and one particular dharamsala has been identified for the food service for them.” Said Jharsuguda Collector Parameswaran B.
“Book Stalls are being put to promote the reading habit in people because this one event where there is mass participation. Apart from this there will be an exclusive stall from the Horticulture Department selling trees both fruiting crops and decorating crops and other plants with this we hope their might be more plantation in the town and little contribution to green environment and reducing pollution.” he added
