Jharsuguda: Two unidentified men on a bike looted 8 Lakh rupees from a Pvt. Construction Contractor here on Saturday afternoon.
Police said that, Contractor Natwar Lal Agarwal, had withdrawn an amount of 8 Lakh 14 thousand for making labour payment from State Bank of India on Saturday noon and kept the cash inside his bike�s dicky. After reaching the construction site at Dist. Education Office Campus near Manmohan School to make payment, he had left the cash in his bike�s dicky and was speaking to some of his labourer at a distance, when two bike borne miscreants probably following him had reached near his bike and lifted the cash from his bike�s dicky and fled away the scene within minutes.
A case has been registered in Jharsuguda Town Police Station, IIC Nirmal Mohapatra said that, �We are analyzing CCTV footage of the State Bank of India for some clue, additionally we have sealed the borders and are conducting vehicle check at various point.�
