Jharsuguda, 3rd Jan 2013: Ongoing Jharsuguda District Foundation Day Celebration which was started from 1st January had entered the third day of celebration which witnessed a huge crowd pouring in for this. Owing to the fact that Jharsuguda market is generally closed on Thursday which had added to the numbers of people coming to enjoy this event. On third day of this celebration Jharsuguda MLA Naba Kishore Das was the chief guest in which he said that �Time doesn�t wait for anyone. He suggested that Dist. administration & people who love culture should come forward rather going backward. He also added that people should not play with Art and Culture rather they should support it without any discrimination. If we want to bring the name of Jharsuguda on the world map then we want all your support together. He assured that even Dist. Collector would extend it support in this. He also suggested to organizing committee that people from neighboring state should also be called in as a guest to witness this celebration which would help in exchange of art and culture .
In this evening, Zilla parishad Renuka Kansarli and Dist. Collector Bishnu Prasad Sahoo had thanked everyone who had come to see this event.
Organizing Committee�s convener Tapas Ray Choudhary had presided over the event.
In today�s cultural programme , Odhisi Dance from Madhav Sangeet Mahavidyalaya , Brajrajnagar , Naga Dance by Nupur Acadmey, Kolkata , Pala by Kirmira , Nepali Dance of OSAP , Sambalpuri Dance by Sambalpur Kala Parisad , Odishi Dance by Anad prerna School , Dalki , Dulduli Dance from Kirmira , Stabdhi Bele from Kolkata , Goa folk dance by Goa were performed.
On Day third afternoon, many other events like Rangoli were organized. Like every year Nandini Mishra had won the prize from best rangoli.
On the Closing Ceremony which will be held on 5th Jan , Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises Prasanna Acharya along with Ex- Speaker Kishore Kumar Mohanty and Brajrajnagar MLA Anup Kumar Sai would be the guest of the function.
