Bagrang Dal activists caught duo with 2 quintals of beef

Jharsuguda:� Around 6.30 a.m. in the morning Bagrang Dal Activists caught and detained a Omni van which was carrying 2 Quintals of Cow Meat (Beef). This was being supplied from Sambalpur to Jharsuguda for some hotels at Mangal Bazaar and some to Sundargarh. �The two accused were arrested and taken into custody. These two were Mohamad Jude Khan the driver of this car and one Shakila Begum who was accompanying him.

As per the sources, Jharsuguda Bagrang Dal activists got information of an Omni Van (MP-23L 4725) ��is carrying beef and would be heading towards Jharsuguda. Acting on tip off activists tried to stop this van at Badmal Chowk but this van sped away , it was chased and finally they caught them near old Railway crossing , Sarbahal. On query it was found that they were carrying beef. Local Public along with Bagrang Dal activist caught the driver Mohammad Jude Khan and Shakila Begum.

Local Public smashed the Omni car and toppled down. As soon as the police got to know the information about the incident. Amitav Panda, Officer in charge BTM Police station along with other police officials had reached the spot and tried to control the mob, which have became aggressive and started vandalizing the van and manhandling the accused driver. Later the Duo accused were booked Under Section 307 IPC and under section 7 Orissa prevention of cow slaughtering act. And were forwarded to court with Case No. 262 /2012
