Joint Public Grievance Redressal Camp Held in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: A joint public grievance redressal camp was held at the Jharsuguda-Lakhanpur Panchayat Samiti Office on Monday.�A total of 72 complaints were heard in the camp, out of which 13 were group complaints and 59 were individual complaints. The District Magistrate has instructed departmental officials to investigate the complaints and resolve them in a timely manner.
In the camp, visual impairment allowances were provided to visually impaired students; five visually impaired students were given free laptops; three students were enrolled in the Social Security Scheme for Madhu Babu Pension; and an individual was given a sum of Rs. 5,000 from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The camp was attended by a number of district and block-level officials, including Police Superintendent Mr. P. Parmar, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Tapiram Majhi, Deputy Collector Kishor Chandra Swayam, Panchayat Samiti President Huteshwari Tihiriya, Community Development Officer Jayant Sahu, Deputy Superintendent Damin Ping, and Assistant District Livestock Officer Harpalan Kumar Sahu.
The District Magistrate’s instructions to departmental officials to investigate the complaints and resolve them in a timely manner are a welcome move. The camp is also a reminder of the importance of social security schemes such as the Madhu Babu Pension Scheme.
The camp is a sign of the government’s commitment to the welfare of the people.
