Dog Show Organised by Kennel Club of Jharsuguda

JHARSUGUDA: It was a dog’s day in the industrial town on Sunday evening as around 60 dogs of as many as 8 different breeds wagged their tails in the dog show which was organized by Kennel Club, Jharsuguda.

Several participants reached from nearby places like Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Belpahar, Brajrajnagar along with their dogs. The event was packed with audience, especially youngsters, who came to see this show, held in Shankar Bagicha, Jharsuguda.

Prizes were given to top three dogs of all varieties, including German shepherd, Rot Weller, Doberman, Great Dane, Pug, Saint Bernard, Dachshund, Cocker Spaniel.

A German shepherd owned by one Vicky Pradhan of Sambalpur was the champion in best of show.

 “We have organized this event to create awareness among the Dog lovers with a message that Dogs are very loyal friend of human beings and we should also take care of them.” said Kajal Guha, President of the Kennel Club, Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda Municipality Chairman Harish Ganatra and Social Activist Tapas Ray Choudhary inaugurated the show on Sunday afternoon while WODC Chairman Kishore Kumar Mohanty was the chief guest in the evening and distributed prizes to the winners.
