Jharsuguda: Ongoing protest by the workers of Odisha Pipe Water Workers union has entered the third day of their protest.
This protest is being observed at all over Odisha in demand of various problems like giving temporary workers a permanent status, to facilitate all offices with Library, Computer operators, Timely salary along with all types of financial facilities to the workers, and hike in Cloth allowance upto Rs. 1000.
The workers have been on strike for last three days. However, till the third day also nothing has been done said by the State Vice President – Mr. Damodar Sahoo. He also told that they have submitted their 7 point demand to the state government but till today nothing has been done in that context.
He added that if the demands are not met then they would be forced to stop all waters supply in the district as well in the state starting from 9th October night.
In this protest Action Committee Chairman , Mr. R. Bhakta Prahalad Rao , Branch Secretary Jharsuguda Tiken Behera , Branch Joint Sec. Mr. Sudhir Behera were present in this protest
