Jharsuguda: Shri Bishnu Charan Sahu took charge as a New Collector and Dist. Magistrate of Jharsuguda today. He was welcomed by the outgoing collector Shri Guru Prasad Mishra along with ADM Rabindra Mishra, Sub Collector Pradeep Barik along with various officials who were also present in this small welcome function held at 11 AM in collectorate office .
Shri Sahu had outlined his priorities for the district and while speaking to Media Persons, he told that “firstly I liked this district and my main focus would be the rural belt of the district where I would like to visit each and every village listening to the problems of the farmers and villagers. Inform about the various individual and social schemes given by the Government to the people and if they are eligible then they would be given those benefits as per the Government Norms. This would be my first priority.
When asked about the problems arising due to industrialization in the district, he told that industrialization development is a necessary but it should be in a proper integrate way by giving proper rehabilitation for the people who are getting displaced due to these industries as the industries are been built on their land so they should be given proper rehab facilities and including them in the economic activities of the industries then only they will welcome such projects in the district. Additionally they would also lift their financial condition too. So having industrialization is must, agriculture is must and proper rehabilitation of people is must. Development has to be done in a proper integrated manner which will help our society’s overall development.”
On the occasion of Nua Khai , the festival of western odisha, Shri Sahu wished every people of the district a Very Happy Nua Khai and he says “I have already included myself in the celebration of Nua Khai along with the peoples of the district where I would also like to participate in this celebration. I am very happy that I have joined on a wonderful day of this festival”.
The outgoing collector Shri Guru Prasad Mishra and Deputy Collector Rajesh Agarwal were given farewell by the Dist. Administration. Shri Guru Prasad Mishra will join his office in Bhubaneswar as a Addl. Secretary in Home Department. Addl. Dist. Magistrate Rabindra Mishra had placed his best team effort and all sort of co-operation for the new Collector.
