TRL Krosaki Refractories gets Golden Peacock Occupational Health & Safety Award 2012


TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited, India’s No 1 Refractories Company has bagged the prestigious Golden Peacock Occupational Health & Safety Award for the year 2012 . Last year we had got the golden peacock environment management commendation certificate.
The Award was received by our managing director Dr AKChattopadhyay from the noted Gandhian leader Dr Bhisma Narayan Singh in a function organized in New Delhi on 8th July 2012 coinciding with the concluding session of 14th World Congress on Environment Management. MD was accompanied by Mr Jiban Pattnaik, AGM (Operation Technology)in the Award ceremony.
Mr Hemant Nerurkar, MD Tata Steel and our Chairman and Mr Y Hamamoto, President, Krosaki Harima Corporation, our global partner have congratulated Dr Chattopadhyay on this achievement.
The award is being conferred on TRL Krosaki Refractories in recognition of its initiatives and performance in occupational health and safety management. The company has won this award in the engineering category, competing with established players in the field.
Speaking on the achievement, Dr A K Chattopadhyay, MD emphasized TRL Krosaki’s commitment to provide a safe and healthy work environment to the whole workforce including contract workmen. He said that these efforts are ingrained in the company culture and measures are taken continuously to excel in safety standards and practices.
The Launching of Safety Excellence journey, installation of 50 KL per day capacity Effluent Treatment Plant, a number of Pulse jet Dust Filters, ESPs, Engineering Landfills, Logistic Road, Regular Medical Checkup, Massive Plantation Drives , Shopfloor Awareness Campaigns , Ergonomic and Occupational Health Classes are some of the measures taken recently to strengthen our Occupational Health and Safety measures. Being the first IMS certified Refractories Company; we endeavour to continuously exceed statutory norms in terms of environment, occupational health and safety.
